Meet the winners of the 2010 Skills for Employability Awards !

The winners of the 2010 Skills for Employability Awards were announced November 25th at the European Employment Week in Brussels by the founding partners of the Alliance - Microsoft, State Street and Cisco.

A distinguished panel of experts made of CSR Europe, the European e-Skills Association, the European Foundation Centre, Microsoft, Motorola Foundation, and State Street reviewed the 17 applications and selected best practice winners in three Award categories.

  • Youth and Employability: FundaciĆ³n Tomillo (Spain) provides ICT courses that enable young people at risk of social exclusion to obtain international certification in software and hardware. To this day they have awarded 1,172 certificates and maintained a remarkable 93% of pass test and 84% of graduate employment after training.


  • Integrated employability model and use of collaborative IT: Telecentre-Europe works with more than 80 organizations in over 40 nations providing the next 292 million Europeans with the information skills, motivation and access they need.


  • Accessibility and Employability: Enable Ireland is a leading national provider of services for people with disabilities. Their Assistive Technology (AT) in Employment project focuses on increasing job retention among employees with disabilities, and promoting a higher level of uptake of AT in the workplace.

Each of the winners received a cash prize of 5,000€ thanks to the sponsors State Street, Motorola Foundation, Microsoft.
