Companies communicating CSR online

February 20, 2009

Public companies are using the web more for telling their CSR stories, uncovering information that has before been stated only in annual or special reports, IR Magazine reports on the findings of a survey by communications consultancy Hallvarsson & Halvarsson (H&H).

In a review of 700 European companies, H&H found that 78 percent are dedicating part of their corporate website to CSR, up from 73 percent last year. Of the 150 largest European companies, 97 percent cover CSR topics on the web. However, the study found that there is still a large gap between the demands of information from investors and what is actually presented on the websites.
